EP REVIEW: ‘KIDS’ BY PISCO SOUR
Pisco Sours new EP ‘Kids’ showcases the bands diverse musical range and their ability to evolve as a band whilst staying true to their Aussie-Rock roots.
‘Kids’ is truly beautiful – it feels like a crisp spring morning captured in a tune.
EP REVIEW: MAKE WAY FOR MAN - RITES
Perth locals, Make Way For Man, have not disappointed with their latest release, Rites. The 6-track EP explores the ups and downs that life brings, and how best to tackle them.
EP REVIEW: DRASTIC PARK - IMPOSTER SYNDROME
Drastic Park’s brand new release, Imposter Syndrome, was born entirely out of the current pandemic. Using this time to explore the production side of music, the Melbourne-based trio were able to record, mix, and master their EP from their homes, in isolation. They explore the idea of dual-perspectives, something that has been seen a lot during lockdown.
SINGLE REVIEW: HOLLYWOOD HILLS- SIR WINSTON
The aggressive music is like a digital punch in the face- a punch and headlock, if you will. Prepared to be slapped in the face with the rapid change in tempo and lyrics, and really let yourself be dragged into the situation with Sir Winston.
EP REVIEW: FUTURE STATIC - FATALIST
From start to finish, the brilliantly written & mixed tracks build perfectly throughout the EP, gradually introducing more and more nods to heavy influences as it plays through. Personally, I just really love the whole record. I struggled writing this up because I just wanted to listen and listen and listen, and that was it.
I legitimately hit my head on the wall behind me when bopping back and forth to the intense and emotional tunes - so yeah, it’s a literal banger.
