Profile Piece: Jahmiele Hicks
Jahmiele’s experience in the Australian Music Industry officially started when she was 16 when she first joined her local Freeza crew, running government funded youth events with the Bendigo team. She went on to study a Diploma of Event Management and then completed her Bachelor of Entertainment Management at Collarts in Melbourne. Leading up to and since beginning this project, she has been involved with an ongoing list of Australian music and arts festivals and events, including Groovin’ the Moo, Beyond the Valley, Pitch, and even her own independently run - and surprisingly successful - house-gigs. She has recently started working with local independent label and record store - Bendigo Records, and continues to take strides in booking, leading, and management positions with local venues and upcoming events and festivals.
