The best artists, releases, venues and festivals of the year were honoured at the 15th Music Victoria Awards last night, while legendary siblings Vika and Linda and community radio institution PBS 106.7FM were inducted into the Hall of Fame.

Al Parkinson describes her genre as Happy/Sad. After a few years of waltzing around life, the Melbourne based songwriter returns with a charming new single titled ‘You Look Good In Blue’ and announces an intimate show at a Melbourne Florist. Produced by longtime friend, Jono Steer (Ainslie Wills, Angie McMahon, Gretta Ray), the track is about memories being attached to scent -  and is the first of a string of releases Al has planned.

A panel of judges – comprised of the music teams and presenters of triple j, Double J, and triple j Unearthed – choose nominees based on their creativity, originality, technical excellence and contribution to Australian music.
