OXLEE REVEALS POLISHED AND INTIMATE R’n’B-POP SINGLE “TRACTION”
Self-taught R’n’B-pop singer-songwriter OXLEE has returned with his latest single “Traction”, a polished, funky, and smooth-talking track that continues the story of his previous, intimate single “I Don’t Get You”.
With production elements influenced by Tobi Lou and Trinidad Cardona, and vocals that have been compared to Justin Bieber and Ruel, “Traction” is infused with OXLEE’s love of K-Pop, and combines an epic arrangement of R&B-pop with a melodic bassline that adds a funky edge.
Developing his passion for music at just 10 years old, OXLEE is a multi-instrumentalist and a talented songwriter. Delving into the realms of soul, alternative pop, and R’n’B, the young artist performed for several years before the release of his debut single “I Wouldn’t Change”. Emerging as a fully formed solo artist, he quickly found a devoted fan-base, gaining 10k followers on Instagram, and began developing his sound by collaborating with producers and other artists across Australia and New Zealand.
After a successful showcase at the 2019 BIGSOUND conference in Brisbane, OXLEE quickly booked his first show in Sydney and a performance at Studio 301 networking event. His most recent single “I Don’t Get You”, released in July, has been praised on triple j Unearthed and received 20’000 views on YouTube in just one short month.
Now working towards an album release and with a list of announcements on the horizon, OXLEE is a fresh face to be kept on your radar.
