MADAM3EMPRESS SHARES HER NEW SINGLE “LOCKING EYES” THE FOLLOW UP TRACK TO HER DEBUT RELEASE “COME ON OVER”

Fresh off the back of supporting Winston Surfshirt at their sold-out Factory Theatre show in Sydney last week, today MADAM3EMPRESS shares her sophomore single “Locking Eyes”, the follow up track to her debut release “Come On Over”. Produced by one of Sydney’s most exciting production duo’s Korky Buchek and executively produced by 2x ARIA nominated producer IAMMXO, the single explores the energy between two when people when you lock eyes across a room.
On the track, MADAM3EMPRESS says “’Locking Eyes’ is about a deep connection of energy between two people. When you look across a room and you lock eyes with someone – that magic is undeniable. This locking of eyes and the energy you feel can be overwhelming and even scary at times. You may fight it, and you may deny it, but that energy is there. ‘Locking Eyes’ is such a powerful and underrated moment between people.”
Last December, MADAM3EMPRESS released her debut single “Come On Over”, an ode to women being unafraid to speak their truth and celebrate their sexuality.
Born in Sydney, Shanae Masters aka MADAM3EMPRESS, grew up living between Australia and her parent’s home country of South Africa. Music became her cultural anchor between the country she was born in, and the South African blood running through her veins. Her love and connection to music helped her navigate her identity, her femininity, her drive, her passion and her purpose.
Her deep roots in Gospel music and Cape-Townian Jazz, mixed with her love for Neo-Soul, RnB and Hip-Hop has allowed her to create art without boundaries, enabling her to write and perform from a place of true freedom and absolute certainty. This freedom means she can create music that crosses genres and is impossible to box in, with her strong, confident vocal delivery and razor-sharp lyrics acting as the anchors to keep her art consistent.
