SYDNEY HIP HOP ARTIST BAN MICAH RELEASES NEW SINGLE ‘I CAN’T EVEN’
Taking the spotlight and putting it on a relationship that once was, Sydney rapper Ban Micah presents his new single, ‘I Can’t Even’. As his second track for 2020, ‘I Can’t Even’ is a song that is wrapped up in its feelings, presented with classic grooves and upbeat tempo.
With flow that sits in that sweet pocket of R&B melodies and cutting rhyme capability, Ban Micah is a fresh name on the scene. ‘I Can’t Even’ is a strong introduction to many and for those who have been following his journey ‘til this point, Ban Micah is definitely looking toward a bright 2021.
Self-produced ‘I Can’t Even’ follows on from Ban Micah’s ‘Falling x Flying’ release in January. Where he demonstrated vibes similar to Childish Gambino and Chance The Rapper on that track, Ban Micah pushes things a bit further on ‘I Can’t Even’. Bringing more influences like Aminé, Andre 3000 and on a local tip, Kwame and Joyride, into the mix, the song is flushed with great production and catchy rhythms.
Written back in 2017, ‘I Can’t Even’ saw Ban Micah return to those original stems and ideas in 2020, bringing to life a great new story. Completely overhauled, ‘I Can’t Even’ is a new story about the ups and downs of new love and what happens when we move on. Or even, what happens when we struggle to.
“This track is about reflecting on a relationship that should, for all the right reasons, be dead. But much to the glaring anger and frustration of one of the two lovers, it refuses to die. All in all, the track is a classic case of Boy Meets Girl; they fall in love, they fall out of love, they both move on, girl pulls boy’s heartstrings again. Even though the overall vibe is bouncy and fun, it’s quite a sad song!” Ban Micah
Having spent the last few years consistently writing and producing new music, Ban Micah emerges ready to show audiences around the country what he’s got up his sleeve. ‘I Can’t Even’ is the latest in a string of top vibes for the upcoming summer and New Year ahead.
Stay tuned!
