INTRODUCING: ELSIE LANGE P SHARES NEW SINGLE ‘ADELAIDE’, SIGNS TO WING SING RECORDS
"Led by Elsie’s velvety voice, which has always been marked with an ability to sound graceful and charming at once, ‘Adelaide’ materialises around us with a swinging 60’s groove while mild guitars twinkle and chime alongside her rich vocals." - Trouble Juice
"Elsie balances the surface sweetness of this track with a lyrical ache for missed connections." - Dave Ruby Howe

Elsie Lange is a folk-pop singer/songwriter from Melbourne and today releases new single, “Adelaide” via Wing Sing Records.
Elsie steps out solo, from fronting garage-pop band, pting and performing live with Elizabeth, to bring together influences from musicians like Nick Cave, The Kinks, Angel Olsen and Nina Simone. These influences seep through on Elsie’s new single, “Adelaide” whilst she brings her own experiences and touch.
Originally from Alice Springs, “Adelaide” grapples with the distance between the city and desert, exploring what it means to be confused and very far from home. It’s a “homage to all the goofy and gorgeous love songs that have come before,” explains Elsie.
She continues, “for most of my adult life my family have headed over to Adelaide for Christmas, some from Alice Springs, others from Melbourne, to meet in the middle. I wrote Adelaide in my aunty Jude’s spare room, reminiscing and embellishing a beautiful and strange Christmas friendship, taking inspiration from that great Kinks song, “Strangers”.
“Adelaide” was recorded with artist/producer Calum Newton (Candy), features Dan Oke (Jarrow) on drums and is out now through Wing Sing Records.
