HOLLY HEBE BRINGS YOU HER DREAM-LIKE SINGLE ‘WE ARE FINE’
18-year-old singer, songwriter and budding producer Holly Hebe, follows the release of her debut single ‘Sink’, with the enchanting and captivating single ‘we are fine’.
First spun on Triple J Unearthed Radio, ‘we are fine’ melds synth-pop soundscapes and bittersweet lyricism, creating a heartfelt tale of the hesitations to falling in love. Releasing on the 20th of November, ‘we are fine’ delves into the complexities of blissful ignorance in love, with Holly expressing the vulnerabilities of young relationships.
With influences from Yumi Zouma, Maggie Rogers and Sigrid, the track immerses you into a dreamlike state through environmental soundscaping, cascading into a delicate piano riff and multi-layered emotionally charged lyrics, pulling you into the bedroom in which it was recorded.
Close and personal to her heart, Holly explains
“We are Fine is really about the idea of trusting your gut when it comes to relationships. It’s about how trying to convince yourself that everything is fine — and from an outside view it might be— can lead you to ignore your intuition and put on a brave face. It’s about taking the easy road that ends up being the more difficult in the long run, and realising that it’s important to trust how you feel over trusting outsiders’ points of view.”
Holly’s debut single ‘Sink’ made waves for the independent artist, accumulating over 10,000 streams on Spotify alone since its release in September 2020. This has been backed by spins on Triple J Unearthed Radio, as well as raving four-star reviews from both Triple J Unearthed own, Dave Ruby Howe and Abby Butler. Blooming with undeniable talent and poise, ‘we are fine’ is a defining moment for Holly Hebe, seeing the artist swiftly break into the music scene.
