The Acclaim All-Stars initiative has been created as a means for the fans and participants in Australian hip hop music to formally acknowledge and celebrate the successes of Australian hip hop artists. 2020 sees the launch of All-Stars, an online event that will occur annually. All-Stars is a production of Acclaim Magazine, Australia’s longest-running media platform dedicated to hip hop music and culture.

Today's announcement follows the Awards recent partnership with the DoMore Project, as the official presenting parter of the MVP Award, the project is aimed at drawing a greater focus to issues of racism and the experiences of BIPOC artists in the Australian music industry, particularly in the hip hop genre.
The finalists have been selected according to votes cast by the general public (People's Champ), in conjunction with streaming data analysis of the top fifty Australian hip hop songs of the last twelve months (MVP - Song of the Year) and votes cast by an industry panel (Rookie of the Year). Panelists have been carefully selected according to their demonstrated legacy of support and work within the local hip hop industry. In addition to these categories is the Acclaim Wild Card, presented by Beats by Dre, Eco$ystem, key member of cult Melbourne label 66 Records has been announced as the Wild Card Winner.
With the release of the Finals Team today, the winner of each award will be announced over the following weeks with digital cover-features unveiled to coincide with each. Prizes awarded to each category winner have been shared, with the specific intention to help winners further their careers, including recording equipment and software, footwear and apparel, industry-specific legal services, advertising and PR support, international industry support, and mentorship worth over $60,000 in value.
