GET LOST IN THE WOOZY, TENDER, AND HEARTFELT SONGWRITING OF STELLIE'S NEW SINGLE AS SH ASKS; ‘HOW DO WE LOOK SO GOOD?’
Making the leap from bedroom artist to knockout performer just last year, Stellie is a young Adelaide artist on the cusp of bigger things.
Described as "sharp and shimmery" (Claire Mooney, triple j unearthed), "melancholy lyrics tinged with nostalgia" (Fashion Journal), "delicate" (Russh) and "sincerely heartfelt" (Richard Kingsmill, triple j), the music Stellie writes is hitting all the right notes, showcasing her immense talent for songwriting with emotional depth and lush sonic palettes with every new release.
Inspired by strong female voices, her tender and personal tales are indie-pop slow-burners that cut straight to the heart.
New single "How Do We Look So Good?" gives you a sparkling and sexy pop ballad filled with hypnotic melodies and charm-filled lyricism reminiscent of the romantic nostalgia of Lana Del Rey or the youthful insight of Lorde.
(Stellie) "How Do We Look So Good? Is about feeling guilty for not really feeling guilty at all. I wanted this track to generate a sense of nostalgia. Kind of like a dreary, hazy dream that you don’t ever want to wake up from.
This song is the first of many that represent the new era of Stellie, a world I cannot wait to explore and share with you all."
