Good News Everyone are back again with another hit release, this time with their single titled I’m Not Emo (I’m Just Sad). Recently released on October 30th, their new song definitely won’t  disappoint with it’s heavy guitar riffs and punchy drums.

Incorporating elements from punk and hardcore genres, Good News Everyone have perfectly encapsulated feelings of self-doubt. I’m Not Emo (I’m Just Sad) features a nice mix of melodic and catchy vocals, with heavier vocals standing out in the background. I’m a massive fan of the drums in this song, especially with the sick fills and open hi-hats!

Released just months after their debut EP came to life, you can really hear the band’s growth with this track. I cannot wait to hear what’s next!

Music has had a massive impact in Ashlee’s life. She started playing drums at the age of 16 in a school band with her friends, and she continues to play as a hobby. After realising that she preferred the ‘behind-the-scenes’ elements of live sound rather than the performing aspect, she began studying Audio Engineering at Collarts to fulfil her dream of working in the audio industry.

Outside of her studies, she spends her free time going to as many gigs as she can.

She likes listening to metalcore, alternative-rock, and prog metal, and her favourite bands include Aburden, Alpha Wolf, Ebonivory, and Trophy Eyes.
