Artist Liz Cambage says “The BPM is definitely faster and the kids are out there earlier”. A perfect way to sum up the experience at ‘Beyond the Valley’. The four-day camping festival returned with a bang in 2024 supplying good vibes and good times through the whole 4 days. The notorious ‘doof sticks’ were all brought out once again for all audiences to gather around to enjoy some music and don’t let all the walking sticks that were around fool you, as ‘Beyond the Valley’ supplied some heavy fast beats that sometimes I couldn’t even keep up with it.
‘Beyond the Valley’ went over and beyond this year to ensure that patrons had one of the most enjoyable experiences in a Victorian festival ever. Supplying a large range of food vans, some amazing relaxation places, and plenty of stores supplying to everyone’s needs, where good times are impossible not to have.
‘Beyond the Valley’ had three main stages. Dr Dan’s which housed DJs going through late at night for members who stuck around. The ‘Valley Stage’ which hosted many of the main performers, always brought a big crowd. ‘Dance Dome’ was the favourite among techno and the majority of the public, and a new stage this year ‘Jack Daniel’s Stage’ hosting new up-and-coming artists in the music scene.
From day 1, I was amazed at how many had attended and you could feel the excitement and energy the crowd had even with the ‘Valley Stage’ being unavailable on day 1, both ‘Dance Dome’ and ‘Dr Dan’s’ killing it with day 1. ‘Dance Dome’ with its amazing screen that stretched far and long had some amazing artists such as ‘Nina Las Vegas’ and ‘Ned Bennett’ supplying the crowd with deep dark and fast techno.

Day 2 is when the ‘Valley Stage’ opened up, and the crowd was even more electric than day 1. ‘Valley Stage’ had two big screens next to each other for all members to see, along with sign language interpreters. Day 2 was one of the most electric nights for all, as amazing artists such as ‘Confidence Man’ and ‘Natasha Bedingfield’ tore up the stage with their presence.
‘Untitled’ also included a ‘Welcome to Country’ on the ‘Valley Stage’ which was amazing.
Day 3 members were much more relaxed and comfortable in their spots as ‘Untitled’ supplied some amazing artists such as ‘Royel Otis’ and ‘Chase & Status’. Here is also where I’ll make a huge shout out to the Lighting Tec’s for bands, The lights were so amazing they put me in a trance for some sets, so credit where credit is due, sometimes lights can make the difference from great set to an unforgettable set
Finally, Day 4, even with the extreme heat and all the dust that everyone was kicking around, was one of the most amazing showcases of artists. Artists such as ‘Ghetts’, ‘Denis Sulta’, ‘SUGABABES’, and to enter 2025 with ‘FISHER’ was one of the most amazing and memorable experiences of my life.
A huge shout out to the ‘Untitled’ group of people being able to make this magic happen. They were all so amazing during this experience ensuring everyone was having a good time and all needs were met. It would have been impossible without you all so thank you all so much
Some negatives from the experience would have been all the dust that liked to make an appearance on the last 2 days, sometimes it was as if looking into a sandstorm and ‘ICE SPICE’ being 1 hour and 10 mins late to her act.
‘Beyond the Valley’ 2024 started 2025 with pure euphoria making me so excited to see what 2025 bring this year to the music scene, I can now understand why ‘Beyond the Valley’ is among there, as one of the greatest Australian festivals ever.
