Brisbane’s emerging alternative pop duo Alta Falls are making their grand entrance with the release of the debut single “Take Me On Down,” an indie shout fueled by melodic hooks, soaring harmonies, and vintage synth drive.

The annual Queensland Music Awards (QMAs) announced the 2021 genre category finalists, the Billy Thorpe Scholarship shortlist, and the nominees for the publicly voted People’s Choice Awards, with winners to be presented under the decadent chandeliers of the Fortitude Music Hall on Wednesday 5 May in Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley.

Women In Pop Live have revealed stunning alt-pop singer-songwriter SAYAH to headline the next femme honouring event alongside supporting act neo-soul songstress RISSA on Thursday 13th May 2021. Continuing the regular event at Sydney’s Oxford Art Factory.

Today iyah may shares her new single ‘XO Girl’, an anthem for everyone who refuses to be a pleaser and appeaser. Premiering last night on triple j's Home & Hosed, the song also features up-and coming Gold Coast rapper Saint Lane.

“’I'm Fine’ is about having that one person in your life that when you're trying to fake it and you're trying to say, ‘Oh, no, I'm doing okay,’ it's having that one person who says: ‘I know you're not okay. You can't pretend with me.’

“Runway” comes as the second single from Patches Paradise, following his debut “Fever” in 2018 which was praised by triple j tastemakers Declan Byrne and Dave Ruby Howe who described it as, “Spiraling indie dance stuff from this up and comer. It glistens like the crystal waters of a tropical destination.”

"High & Glow" pushes boundaries for the band, who credit producer and collaborator Chris Lalic (Windwaker) for helping guide Days Like These into a more refined space and encouraged an exploration of different guitar tuning, song structure and tonal effects. "We were unsure about this song and how it would turn out in the end, but as we were putting the finishing touches on it we all agreed that we were extremely stoked on it" says vocalist Callen Batson.

The new single, Second Hand Band, is evocative of the Aussie pub rock greats – AC/DC, Rose Tattoo, The Angels – but with a modern, unique Avalanche spin. The listener can hear the years of practice, passion and grind that has gone into this project, and anyone who has ever dreamt of a life as a musician will relate to the subject matter behind this heavy, gritty romp.

Sam Marks has only just released his lush, reverb-drenched indie-rock track 'Tend To Yourself' (released March 26) that is brimming with groovy reggae influences.

Sydney based groove fuelled producer Beso Palma has announced his latest single “Ego” featuring neo-soul/R&B artist Rissa. Fired up by electronic energy, “Ego” is a groove evoking track building anticipation to his upcoming EP which is to be expected in October of this year.
