The last year has seen countless people separated from loved ones right around the globe. What a fitting way then for Queensland's Tia Gostelow to bring in 2021 than with a touching stripped back acoustic version of her song "Wonder" written about being away from those you love from her 2020 sophomore album Chrysalis.

Recorded in a few hours on the Gold Coast with Jordan from her band, the acoustic version of "Wonder" showcases Tia's voice and the emotional core of the song. Tia said, "I’ve been playing Wonder acoustically probably more times than I have with my band over the past couple of months due to COVID and I thought it would be really nice to put out this version."

"Wonder was written during a time where I was really struggling being in a long distance relationship and being away from my partner. I was longing for those small things that you usually do when you're with the person that you love like waking up next to them and making coffee together. I was really missing those things and I went into the studio with Japanese Wallpaper and I put all my feelings out on the table." - Tia Gostelow

Bursting onto the scene in 2018 with her debut album Thick Skin, Tia's sophomore Chrysalis delivers lush pop landscapes and danceable 80's influences and was produced by Oscar Dawson (Holy Holy, Alex Lahey). It covers coming-of-age experiences, with Tia saying it " touches on really personal moments of my life over the last 2 years. I wrote these songs when I was living by myself in Brisbane and when I was in probably the loneliest and most anxious state I’ve been in. I’ve found it really difficult to navigate life being away from my family and my partner, I’m such a family orientated person so when I was living by myself in a big city it really took a toll on me mentally. I feel like dealing with these emotions and putting them into these songs helped me overcome those feelings."

Tia's last single "Two Lovers" follows on from Australia wide high-rotation singles "Always" "Rush" and "Psycho" which have pushed Tia's profile even higher with love from right around the globe.
