SLUMBERJACK RELEASE CLUB FOCUSSED SINGLE 'HADES' WITH FOMO + PLAYING CASTAWAY FESTIVALS
Today SLUMBERJACK announce the release of ‘Hades’, a club-focused track which they made with San Diego producer duo FOMO, who have worked on remixes for Skrillex and The Chainsmokers. It’s a hard-hitting track in signature SLUMBERJACK style with world music influences mixed in with staccato drops and a booming bass which hits you hard in the chest.
SLUMBERJACK says of the track: “Hades is all about just feeling the raw energy and straight up letting it hit you in the face. It’s a lot of fun and the constant switch-ups should keep you on your toes. Really looking forward to playing this out on big systems.”
‘Hades’ follows 'Crucified' which was released late in 2019 and saw it become a fan favourite around the globe.
The track will be on full display when SLUMBERJACK take to the stages at Castaway Festival in February in Canberra with The Presets and What So Not, and then with What So Not and Golden Features in Perth in March.
In 2019 SLUMBERJACK released the acclaimed SARAWAK EP which was conceived and produced when the duo sought a respite from the relentless touring cycle they had found themselves in and retreated to the natural beauty of Morgan’s homeland of Sarawak in Borneo. Tracks included high rotation single 'Hide and Seek' with singer-songwriter Claire Ridgley, the blistering 'Solid' with TroyBoi, and the emotionally-raw 'Daggers' with Machine Age. It landed at #1 on the iTunes chart, equal to its predecessor Fracture EP which resulted in high rotation singles Fracture' ft. Vera Blue (ARIA Gold certified) and 'Afraid, Unafraid' ft. Sydnee Carter as well as a sold-out national tour.
Last year also saw the duo play electrifying sets at This That and Yours and Owls festivals as well as Electric Zoo festival in NYC.
Over the past few years the duo have also taken their live show on a national run with Falls Festival and Groovin’ the Moo, three years straight at Splendour in the Grass, as well as Big Pineapple, SOTA and Touch Bass festivals. In the US they supported TroyBoi and Ekali on their respective US tours, played EDC Las Vegas, Holy Ship and more.
