SLUMBERJACK ANNOUNCE THE BLACK & BLUE EP
Today SLUMBERJACK announce the Black & Blue EP to be released on 21 February. The EP will contain previously released singles 'Crucified' and 'Hades' and follows on from the huge success of their SARAWAK EP which was released last year.
The EP features tracks with a wide array of friends and collaborators including Daktyl, MOONZz, Cory Enemy, Mothica, and FOMO.
Says SLUMBERJACK: “The Black & Blue EP is the first real ‘LA’ record we’ve released - every song came from a unique experience in the city, whether it was through working with our friends as co-collaborators (‘Black & Blue’, ‘Crucified’, ‘Hades’) or just being inspired by the grittier, almost cyberpunk surrounds (‘NORF’).”
The EP will be on full display when SLUMBERJACK take to the stage at Castaway Festival with What So Not and Golden Features in Perth in March.
In 2019 SLUMBERJACK played electrifying sets at This That and Yours and Owls festivals as well as Electric Zoo festival in NYC.
The SARAWAK EP was conceived and produced when the duo sought a respite from the relentless touring cycle they had found themselves in and retreated to the natural beauty of Morgan’s homeland of Sarawak in Borneo. Tracks included high rotation single 'Hide and Seek' with singer-songwriter Claire Ridgley, the blistering 'Solid' with TroyBoi, and the emotionally-raw 'Daggers' with Machine Age. It landed at #1 on the iTunes chart, equal to its predecessor Fracture EP which resulted in high rotation singles 'Fracture' ft. Vera Blue (ARIA Gold certified) and 'Afraid, Unafraid' ft. Sydnee Carter as well as a sold-out national tour.
Over the past few years the duo have also taken their live show on a national run with Falls Festival and Groovin’ the Moo, three years straight at Splendour in the Grass, as well as Big Pineapple, SOTA and Touch Bass festivals. In the US they supported TroyBoi and Ekali on their respective US tours, played EDC Las Vegas, Holy Ship and more.
