Plus, touring with Teenage Dads this month
Following the recent successful release of her debut EP, Who Are You When You’re Not Performing, aleksiah returns to the stage with her upcoming ‘You’re Never Getting Rid Of Me’ tour. Playing regional venues across the country, the tour is aleksiah’s answer to fans who pleaded for shows in larger venues to satisfy those who missed out on her most recent sold out run.
Embarking on her third headline tour, aleksiah is set to perform new music and established favourites. From her first hit “Fern”, a sapphic anthem which went viral upon its inception through Tiktok, to triple j favourite “24” and more from her recent debut EP Who Are You When You’re Not Performing?, aleksiah continues to enchant audiences with her down to earth openness and catchy pop songs. She is excited to share more unreleased music on the road, beckoning a new era of songs and memories for the audience to enjoy.
Hitting the road in November, she’ll be playing to regional corners across including Ballarat’s Volta, La La Las in Wollongong, King Street Warehouse in Newcastle, Gold Coast’s Vinnies Dive Bar and Solbar in Maroochydore.
She’s joined by 17 year old Meanjin/Brisbane-raised queer artist Ixaras as support, who has garnered a cult following for her signature indie/pop/rock sound and is backed by industry folks including triple j, Frankie Mag and more.
The tour announce is accompanied by the release of her special Live At The Vanguard performance video of her much loved track “24”.
Filmed at The Vanguard in Sydney’s Newtown, it was recorded just hours before the fast-rising newcomer packed the venue as part of her recent sold-out national headline tour. A special glimpse into her stage craft, the video spotlights the one of a kind live performance shared with her band that has been captivating audiences across the country over the last 18 months.
aleksiah and her band will hit the road very soon with hit-makers Teenage Dads on their national tour in support of their album, Majordomo. aleksiah will open at all shows for Teenage Dads with the exception of Perth where she will jump into the main support slot.
Fans and industry alike have been all about aleksiah since her debut single “Fern”, with triple j adding follow up singles “Ant Song”, “Pretty Picture” and “24” to full rotation. Named as one of Vogue Australia’s “6 Australian musicians set to take over in 2024”, aleksiah has well and truly made an impression. Her debut EP Who Are You When You’re Not Performing was released in May and has continued to make waves across the music scene.
With Australian artist management company, Chugg Music (Lime Cordiale, Teenage Dads) and leading talent agency Select Music (Amy Shark, Stella Donnelly) for live representation in her corner, aleksiah’s trajectory is on the up. She has supported the likes of Cavetown (UK) along with Teenage Dads on multiple tours, and has shared the stage with Lime Cordiale, Kita Alexander, Holy Holy, Teenage Joans and more.
