MONSOON MOON ANNOUNCES SELF-TITLED EP; SHARES NEW SINGLE ‘GOLDEN GOOSE’
Returning off the back of a busy 2019 of new releases and live shows, Perth’s Monsoon Moon is adapting to the challenges and changes currently affecting the music industry. Striving ahead, the producer and songwriter has announced the long-awaited release of his self-titled EP and from it, he shares a brand new single in ‘Golden Goose’.
Continuing to thrive in an indie-electronic realm, Monsoon Moon proves he is at his strongest when playing with dynamic arrangements and sounds. ‘Golden Goose’ is bright and enticing - a great example of what the full Monsoon Moon EP has in store upon its release this month.
Recorded at Digital Bath Studios in Perth, Monsoon Moon brought ‘Golden Goose’ and the full EP together on his own, producing, mixing and mastering the final product himself. Having established himself as a new artist to watch last year with the release of singles ‘Can’t Let Go’ and ‘Just Friends’, Monsoon Moon proves with this track that 2019 was just the tip of the iceberg.
Now in the solo spotlight, Monsoon Moon (Shaun Pickett, formerly of Command Q) has wasted no time in introducing himself and these new, fresh sounds to audiences around the country. Earning acclaim from online media, Triple J Unearthed and community radio alike, Monsoon Moon has been flourishing with each release.
The sounds of ‘Golden Goose’ and the Monsoon Moon EP remain seductive, as the electronic textures weave around glimmering beats with flair. It’s a great time for Monsoon Moon to be releasing music.
