MEADOW LINEUP CHANGE: FAREWELL FRANKIE COSMOS, HELLO OLYMPIA AND VANESSA WORM! LAST CHANCE FOR TICKETS!

Meadow Festival is bidding farewell to previously announced performers Frankie Cosmos after the New York City four-piece announced the cancellation of their Australian tour this week. Festival organisers are now welcoming newcomers Olympia and Vanessa Worm to take to the iconic Bambra Bowl in a matter of weeks from Friday 27th - Sunday 29th March.

In a statement issued by the band this week, Frankie Cosmos announced "We’ve been dreaming of returning to Australia & New Zealand since our wonderful tour there in 2017. But in light of current global events, we’ve decided to postpone our upcoming shows there for a future time. To say that we’re bummed out is an enormous understatement. We’re gonna try our best to come back as soon as possible! We love Australia and New Zealand so much. We hope you love us back, still." xoxo Frankie Cosmos

The already packed Meadow lineup consists of headliners Angie McMahon and Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever and includes Philadelphia outfit Sheer Mag, Sydney Italo-pop and disco slinger Donny Benét, beloved Melbourne trio Dyson Stringer Cloher, and heaps more!

Australia’s pop queen Olympia has been lauded for her compelling and relentlessly original songs by the likes of The Guardian, Double J, Clash Mag (UK) and stacks more. Hit singles ‘Shoot to Forget’ and ‘Star City’ have made an immediate imprint on the international music community with airplay on Radio 1, BBC 6, a number of high profile international playlist additions, airplay on triple j, double j and community radio nationally. Olympia is a high energy performer whose enigmatic pop mastery will linger long after she’s left the Meadow stage.

Melbourne expat Vanessa Worm will return to Australian soil to grace the Bambra Bowl with the utterly elastic and feverish sounds she’s been concocting in her time spent living in New Zealand’s South Island. Off the back of two impressive releases on London’s coveted Cin Cin label Vanessa Worm’s wildly evocative productions have seen her perform to devoted crowds at Meredith Music Festival and NZ’s Catacombs and she’s sure to bring the Bowl down this year at Meadow.

Festival organisers are well aware of COVID-19 in Australia and would like to confirm to all patrons that Meadow will be going ahead as planned from Friday 27 - Sunday 29 March 2020. Both Department Of Health & Human Services Victoria (DHHS) and the Australian Health Protection Principal Committee (AHPPC), the federal body, report that attending public events such as Meadow are low risk and people should continue to go about their business. The report from the AHPPC on March 8 can be found on their website. Furthermore, information for the public is available and updated regularly on the DHHS Victoria website. Festival organisers will keep all ticket holders up to date on any changes.

“We want to assure you that we are currently implementing the recommended extra safety measures and additional facilities in order to consider the general health and safety of patrons, artists and staff at the event. Meadow will be supplying additional hand sanitisation facilities at our toilets and throughout the festival site among other measures. Thank you for your continued support. We can’t wait to see you in Bambra in just over two week’s time.”
