LOUISE TERRA REVEALS SHIMMERING NEW SINGLE ‘J.B.’ & ANNOUNCES ALL-FEMALE LINEUP FOR MELBOURNE SINGLE LAUNCH
+ release date for debut EP Follow the Moon into the Ocean
Multifaceted solo artist and producer Louise Terra presents cosmic new electro-pop song, ‘J.B.’ Set against a backdrop of sultry beats and celestial synths, ‘J.B.’ is an intoxicating, danceable love song that honours the power of platonic connections. Out just in time for Valentine’s Day, ‘J.B.’ is the second single offering from Louise Terra since she launched the ‘Nature Calling’ single and VR video clip in August 2019. Louise Terra will be launching 'J.B.' with an accompanying video clip in Melbourne on Thursday 5 March at Common Rooms, with an all-female line-up of local solo-electronic artists.
Lifted from Louise Terra’s forthcoming debut EP Follow the Moon into the Ocean due for release May 8, ‘J.B.’ chimes with characteristic shimmering electronica atop brooding drones and instinctual rhythms. Effortlessly sleek, the track’s nuanced production pairs layered vocals and sonic soundscapes that echo the likes of FKA Twigs or Bjork, whilst maintaining Terra’s distinct supernatural pop edge.
“Written as an ode for my dear friend and muse-to-many Jeannie Brown, J.B. is a song about the psychic magic of Jeannie, exploded to mythological proportions.” – Louise Terra
As a live act, Louise has built a cult following over the past seven years performing as backing singer/dancer/alter ego Lemona Squeeze, in the outrageous disco outfit Sugar Fed Leopards. Weaving the delicacies of experimental and pop worlds together as singer, songwriter, producer, performer, general genre-dismantler, Louise Terra has once again invited us to escape to her obscure world of psychedelic electronica. Joining forces with an exceptional lineup of female acts, Louise Terra will launch the new single alongside Anna Vortex, Ninoosh and Sig Nu Gris for a combined single and video launch this March. Do not miss it.
