INTRODUCING ARTY ZIFF + THE NEW SINGLE ‘THOUGHT ABOUT YOU’ FEAT. FRACTURES
Melbourne producer Arty Ziff today unveils his new single ‘Thought About You’ Feat. Fractures. A former sample extraordinaire, Arty Ziff is ringing in a new era - jam packed with his own unique brand of summery disco-tinged electronica.
‘Thought About You’ first came to life in Arty Ziff’s bedroom. Following some tinkering and layering from the solo producer, it was brought to the next level with the help of vocals from fellow Melbourne-based electro musician Fractures and mixing by Antonia Gauci, resulting in an undeniably breezy, nostalgic and consuming new release.
“I originally named the working title of the song ‘Thought about You’, and Fractures ran with that idea and then some.” Arty Ziff reveals.“The song is about a past relationship that someone would look back on and reflect what they could have done differently and what they wish they could change. It's a song most of us can relate to.
Arty Ziff’s new single follows an unofficial 3 track 'mixtape' which saw collaboration with Noah Harris of Fan Girl / Harris, and mixed by Tim Shiel (triple /Double J). Previously, the emerging artist has received airplay from triple j, triple J Unearthed RRR, PBS and rotation on SYN.
ABOUT ARTY ZIFF
Arty Ziff has ditched vinyl samples for synths. It’s a new era for the producer, inspired by the looming threat of legal action. Kidding. Kind of.
A sound that emulates the likes of Daft Punk, Washed Out or The Avalanches, Arty Ziff creates disco grooves weaved with electronic sounds.
With congas, shakers and timbales playing on loop in his head, he brings the sound and style of the past, blending it with synths and modern audio production.
It’s new, but nostalgic. Calling you to the dance floor. Like old school disco should.
