PRIYA FRANCIS DELIVERS HER SECOND SINGLE OF 2020: JEANS.
The Melbourne based singer-songwriter returns with her second single of 2020, Jeans, a smooth, alternative RnB ode to growing up and growing apart.
The single is out everywhere on the 28th of August.
Jeans is another single in a string of tracks that pay homage to an ongoing partnership between Francis and producer, Jarrod Hambleton. It’s a notably edgier sound for Priya, one that welcomes a more direct style of songwriting and storytelling. With heavy synths partnering with the ever-present guitar riffs the singer has welcomed into all of her music, Jeans unites the ongoing struggles of growing up, strained relationships and reconciling emotions with an assured and raw, new sound.
Following a string of single releases in 2019, Priya has been working on an upcoming EP for the majority of the last two years, making each release a step closer to a boldly personal body of work. Drawing inspiration from the likes of Kehlani, H.E.R, Jon Bellion and Lauryn Hill, her latest music builds on years of self-growth, collaboration and development as a musician and writer.
