Today, Perth four-piece Great Gable reveals the official video for their new single All My Friends via ADA Worldwide. The new visual accompaniment follows the news of a headline tour of Australia and New Zealand this April, May and June, with an under 18’s show also announced today at Wrangler in Melbourne on April 11.
Filmed on a vintage “dad’ camcorder at The Music Farm in Byron Bay, the footage was captured by the band during the recording of their forthcoming studio album. “It gives you a taste of what we got up to in the studio and all the sick times we had. So stoked to share it,” shares drummer Callum Guy of the video.
Produced by Matt Corby and Alex Henriksson, the addictive new single features driving rhythms and golden tones. “All My Friends is about working towards forgiving yourself after hurting someone close to you. It's coming to peace with the mistakes you've made in a relationship and accepting that you're allowed to move on,” says lead singer Alex Whiteman of the track.
The All My Friends tour will see the Perth-four piece perform at the Lion Arts Factory in Adelaide on April 9, Howler in Melbourne on April 10, Wrangler (U18) in Melbourne on April 11, Crowbar in Sydney on April 17, Woolly Mammoth in Brisbane on April 19, Blue Smoke in Christchurch on April 24, San Fran in Wellington on April 26, Tuning Fork in Auckland on May 2 and finishing in their hometown of Perth at Badlands on June 20. Perth nu-soul R&B producer Jamilla will accompany Great Gable for the tour to open all shows. Four-piece indie rock band Airline Food will join the lineup in Perth; South Australia’s math rock Ethanol Blend will perform in Adelaide, Melbourne-based Velvet Bloom will deliver her unique blend of jazz, pop and soul at the east coast shows (excluding Wrangler) and neo-soul group Corduroy will round out support duties in New Zealand.
Great Gable has quickly amassed a fervent, die-hard fanbase following the 2019 release of The Lazy Bones EP featuring singles I Swear and Cool Mind Blue. Renowned for their mesmerising and commanding live performance, they’ve supported the likes of Ocean Alley, The Jungle Giants, Thelma Plum and Psychedelic Porn Crumpets and performed festival sets at Groovin The Moo, Falls Festival and SOTA Fest. The band has had a huge start to 2020 already with their first international festival appearance at Outfield Festival in New Zealand, and an upcoming headline slot at Perth’s new On The House Festival on March 13.
