Okkaido to release new single ‘Get Over Yourself’, a powerful and personal song written and based on egos on September 3. The song begins with the protagonist addressing a dictator’s actions, traits and behaviours when encountering an overbearing ego. Whether it be a friendship, relationship or colleague - we can all relate. By the end of the song Okkaido uses lyrics such as “chasing your tail”, “I’m bigger, I’m better”, “Gave you a minute to look in the mirror”, “Oh My Ego” and “Why You trying to break My smile”. The song goes full circle and allows us to resonate with situations where we’ve not been encouraged by those we surround ourselves by and cutting that association.

Produced by up and coming Sydney producer Veptune, the two creators have mastered a culmination track for Spring. The music video is just as impressive by talented Adam Munnings. Again Okkaido proves he’s an artist to watch out for. His current catalogue of releases has shown he is a performer with charisma and confidence. Okkaido is a great lyricist and is equally as great as a vocalist. To date his quality and standards are high in all that he releases.

From start to finish - the witty lyrics and uniquely versatile beautiful voice, with electrifying yet sensual soothing sounds invite the listener to be absorbed by the overall song.

The song which is refreshingly honest and relatable speaks for itself.
