Upcoming EP ‘Sold For Sale’ will be available digitally and on vinyl. Didirri will also be celebrating the EP launch with a special Australian virtual concert to be live-streamed on release day, Sept 25th.
As the release of his new EP ‘Sold For Sale’ quickly approaches, Didirri has given us another taste of what to expect, with his latest single "Loose Belt Drive".
Opening with a wave of strikingly grand strings followed by a constant heartbeat-like thrum of bass and drums - like tapping a mic before he begins - "Loose Belt Drive" commands your attention right from the start.
Written at the home studio of Jon Hume in West Hollywood, the contemplative track muses on the feeling of being worn out and disillusioned with the world, influenced by the largess of both the music industry and the church. The feeling of being a "cog in the machine" is something most people can universally relate to, and Didirri approaches it with a powerful poetic sense of reflection.
(Didirri) "I was at the end of my first multi-stop overseas work trip, I was having a lot of meetings and at the time I was making comparisons to religion and the music industry, to the allure of money versus the allure of doing something meaningful.
Most of us begin with a passion for what we do, not with greed. Yet, it feels like there is an obscene amount of riches at the very top of both that can stop you seeing what’s important."

Partially recorded in a house in the isolated and concentrated rural idyll of Johanna on Victoria’s south-west coast, and in the dazzling and iconic Sunset Sound studio in Los Angeles, and partially recorded via sound files and video calls with musicians scattered all over the world during lockdown… the Sold for Sale EP (which will be available digitally and on vinyl) is as much a physical and metaphorical journey for the artist as it is a sonic journey for the listener.
If ‘Measurements’ EP was walking through the dark tunnel of life, the time between releases shows that Didirri has grown as a person, an artist, and as a songwriter. Two years of life and experience, with two more years of stories to tell, ‘Sold for Sale’ holds our hand and gently leads us towards the light.

To celebrate the EP release, Didirri will be virtually touring the world throughout September – offering specially curated intimate and captivating online concerts for fans in UK, North America, Europe and Canada via his website and YouTube, ending on an extra special release-day concert stream for Australian fans where Didirri will also be hand-pressing vinyl and talking about the EP on September 25th.
The concerts will be "pay what you can", giving fans the opportunity to enjoy for free if they don’t have the means, or they can donate directly to the artist, band, and production crew if they have a little extra money to spare.
