Melbourne based singer-songwriter, Tim Allan, has announced the release of his next single, Honey. Honey will be available on the 21st of August on all major music streaming services including Apple Music, Spotify and SoundCloud, and will be the second single from Allan’s debut EP scheduled for release late 2020.

After Allan’s successful debut single, Polka Dots, Allan continues that momentum with Honey. Written and produced by Allan and mixed by Callum McNab at One9Four Audio Engineering, Honey demonstrates Allan’s ability to convey his emotions through his music and capture moments in songs.

Allan’s life as one of five kids in a small rural town in North West Victoria changed dramatically when he made the leap to Melbourne to study musical theatre at two of Melbourne’s most respected schools, before launching into his songwriting degree at the Australian College of the Arts (Collarts).

Allan says, “One of my favourite childhood memories was watching Breakfast at Tiffany’s with my mum and dreaming of meeting a girl like Audrey Hepburn; this song is about meeting that girl. It’s about being fun and flirty, using your sweetness to charm them. Whilst i was working in entertainment, there was something my late manager used to say to me all the time: ‘You have to be dripping in honey’.”

inspired by artists as diverse as James Bay, Ed Sheeran, Green Day and Australia’s own Dean Lewis, Honey is an exciting upbeat take on pop/rock that is bound to have listeners singing along.

Allan is currently in the middle of planning a string of future online live streams to support the release of Honey whilst he is unable to perform at live venues. He has finished recording his next body of work which is due for release in late 2020.
