Following the announcement of their biggest ever Australian tour this October, today Lime Cordiale unveils the official video for No Plans To Make Plans via Chugg Music. Catch a ride with the Leimbach brothers and Summer Kane as they vanquish the evil Oscar and Leroy Slimebach in a 60’s inspired visual accompaniment, directed by Tim Swallow.

No Plans To Make Plans was never intended to be a single when we released the album. Our audience grabbed a hold of it and it somehow turned into a single on its own. We’re stoked to finally bring you the music video, directed by our mate and long-time collaborator, Tim Swallow, and joined by our live band members James JenningsNick Polovineo and Felix Bornholdt for the performance. We play ourselves as well as the self-absorbed types we wrote the song about. But this song wasn’t meant to be about one type of person in particular... it’s aimed at all those that are only thinking about themselves and not the greater good,” says Oli of the video.

Kicking off at Brisbane’s Riverstage on Saturday 9 October, the band will take in back-to-back nights at Sydney’s Hordern Pavilion on Friday 15 and Saturday 16 October, Melbourne’s iconic Sidney Myer Music Bowl on Friday 22 October, before heading West to Fremantle Arts Centre on Friday 29 and Saturday 30 October.

The band’s live performance is the stuff of legend. Always high octane, front man Louis is the ultimate showman, as the brother’s distinctive vocal and on-stage charisma sets the ultimate party vibe.  Last month, on the final night of their sold-out East Coast tour, Lime Cordiale sent fans into a meltdown as they welcomed Idris Elba on stage at Sydney’s iconic Enmore Theatre. The British actor, writer, producer, rapper and singer-songwriter joined them for a surprise appearance on Unnecessary Things

Hailing from Sydney’s Northern Beaches, Lime Cordiale – comprising brothers Louis and Oli Leimbach – have had an explosive twelve months. The band’s second album 14 Steps To A Better You topped the ARIA Album Chart on release in July last year, with the biggest first week sales for an Australian artist album between January-November 2020. Embraced by tastemakers around the world, the album garnered global acclaim, taking out the coveted J Award for Best Australian Album.

In a watershed moment last year, Lime Cordiale chalked up an incredible eight ARIA Award nominations, making them the most-nominated act of 2020 and landing them their debut ARIA Award for Best Breakthrough Artist. Soon afterward, in January’s triple j Hottest 100 countdown, the band scored an unprecedented five tracks in the top 26, their highest-ranking song On Our Own claiming 11th position.

In 2020, Lime Cordiale’s hit singles Robbery and Temper Temper gained Platinum accreditation, and over the past eighteen months the band have accrued an additional 7 x Gold singles. With 1.5 million monthly listeners and upwards of 217 million streams on Spotify, close to 20 million Apple Music streams and YouTube views exceeding 13 million, the band is on a fast rise. They’ve supported Tones & I across North America, and in 2019 played to over 30,000 fans around Australia alone.

Most recently, Lime Cordiale has teamed with with vintage marketplace Depop  to share their love of sustainable style in a series of unique ways. Together, they’ll be re-selling outfits from their recent music video on the platform, alongside items from their personal wardrobes and past photoshoots. They’ll also be sharing their top selects on the app, so followers can shop the style of two of the coolest guys in Aussie music right now. To kick things off,  the two took part in a video roundtable as part of Depop’s: ‘Let’s Talk’ series for earth month, discussing how we can keep sustainability in style going forward, and what more can be done on the part of customers to ensure that they’re making low-impact fashion choices as much as possible.   The band will donate all proceeds from the clothes sold to Surfrider Foundation Australia, to support their efforts in protecting Australian beaches from offshore drilling, notably their current efforts to #stoppep11.

“We grew up on the Northern Beaches of Sydney where the Morrison Government is trying their best to drill for gas and sacrifice the health of our oceans. Surfrider is the main organisation that is fighting this horrible project called PEP11,” says Louis.
