Fred again..’s Australian arena shows have officially sold out. Announced yesterday afternoon and placed on sale this morning, his three-night stands at Sydney’s Qudos Bank Arena and Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena, as well as a yet-to-be-announced location on the Gold Coast, saw over 1 million fans swarming ticketing websites and purchasing over 100,000 tickets in a matter of hours.
This unprecedented feat was foreshadowed when Fred arrived in Australia by surprise on Tuesday, announcing a performance at Sydney’s Opera House for that evening via his Instagram and selling it out emphatically - with over 145,000 people queuing for tickets. The show set the record for the largest on-sale demand the Concert Hall has ever had.
A show unlike anything local fans will have experienced from Fred again.. before, all shows will be joined by JOY (ANONYMOUS), who together debuted new, unreleased music at Fred again..’s monumental Sydney Opera House performance.
Delivering a one-of-a-kind experience, with “frenetic, verging on biblical” energy of “exhilarated, frenzied dancing. Souls momentarily departing bodies,” remarked Esquire Magazine. The Guardian’s reflection of the “collective giddiness” praised his ability to create “a welcome intimacy in the vaulted Concert Hall.” The fever follows the heavily anticipated release of Fred again..’s collaboration with Lil Yachty and Overmono, ‘stayinit’, teasing his upcoming USB album series.
Within moments of announcing his arrival to Australian shores, Fred again.. continues to stir frenzy. His imminent local tour continues his streak of instantly sold out, record-breaking, surprise sets. His 2023 Australian debut alone for Laneway Festival saw headline shows and surprise DJ pop-ups sell out in under 5 seconds.
His NYC Madison Square Garden show with Skrillex and Four Tet, announced 4 days in advance, took only 4 minutes to sell out. His 20-date tour across the UK, EU, and the US saw fans more than 5 times the available capacities attempting to secure their place across tens of thousands of waitlists, rapidly selling out 9 nights at Shrine Expo Hall in LA, 3 nights at Forest Hills Stadium in New York, and 5 nights at Alexandra Palace in London. Globally, Fred again.. makes headlines and sets venue records wherever he goes.

ABOUT Fred again..
Fred Gibson aka Fred again.. is a producer, singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and DJ. He began releasing music as Fred again.. via the critically-acclaimed 'Actual Life' series in 2021 - records that caught the collective imagination of people all over the world. As a DJ his debut at Boiler Room (+30 million views and counting) would become the stuff of legend, his real-time drum machine sampling triggering global mania that has followed ever since - “the man makes people feral” (ELLE), “fans went absolutely boonta trying to lock in a ticket” (Pedestrian TV). Combining a true crate digger’s attitude in his work, Fred again.. is continuously recognised for his ear for samples, mined and reimagined in unexpected ways. He has collaborated with electronic greats and respected underground leaders: Brian Eno, Swedish House Mafia, Four Tet, The Streets, Flowdan, Jamie xx, Romy, The Blessed Madonna, Jayda G, HAAi, and more. Fred again.. has also sampled and featured on his work the likes of Baby Keem, Rico Nasty, FKA twigs, Headie One, 070 Shake, Future, Kodak Black, Dermot Kennedy, Henry Wu, Sampha even Australia’s own Angie McMahon. Online the #Fredagain hashtag boasts over 396 million TikTok views, his NPR Tiny Desk from March 2023 has accumulated 8.2 million views since publication and headline Coachella at a moments notice.
ABOUT JOY (ANONYMOUS)
The brainchild of Australian-born, London-based Henry Counsell and Louis Curran, a collective encompassing music, live events that started with the deeper mission of bringing people together over lockdown. Initially delivering a series of spontaneous performances at London’s South Bank - camping chairs on the Thames beach - the two have since graduated to bigger venues following the whirlwind of their second album Cult Classics. Having established themselves during the Covid-19 era by playing impromptu meet-ups on London’s South Bank, they have gone on to shut a street down with a surprise waterside party in New York and on a trip to Copenhagen, they played an impromptu set in a cafe, which turned into a house party and a night-long good time. Collaborating with The Blessed Madonna and going B2B with Fred again.. at Alexandra Palace has given the duo the opportunity to live out childhood dreams and introduced their infectious live shows to new audiences at huge venues. JOY (ANONYMOUS) revel in the euphoria of being alive and all the feelings, good or bad, that come with it and continue to operate in dedication to the spirit of spontaneity.
