Teischa has today revealed a visual accompaniment to her captivating new single ‘be alone’. Directed by Luna Laure, who’s resumè includes works with Jack River, Kllo and Paige Valentine, the video is art mimicking life with the storyline based around humankind’s increasing dependence on technology and how we can feel connected even when we’re physically distant or isolated from one another.
Of the video Teischa describes, "I was in a long distance relationship for a couple years and a lot of that time was spent looking at his face, as well as my own reflection, over FaceTime. The ‘be alone' clip is based around the idea of modern love through technology, how we’ve learnt how to feel close to people who are far away and finding comfort in the distance.”
Released just a couple of short weeks ago, ‘be alone’ simply speaks to the fear of being lonely, a traditional theme that all of a sudden feels remarkably of the times. The single is delightfully surprising and a uniquely brilliant left turn. Teischa’s most intimate vocals are brought to the front of the Foley inspired percussion, ghostly piano and stripped back acoustic that cleverly weave themselves throughout the track.
Created with Styalz Fuego (multi award-winning producer whose credits include Khalid, Foster The People, EXO, Tinashe and more), ‘be alone’ existed in demo form for a number of years before being rediscovered with fresh eyes, a matured outlook and new experiences. Suddenly, the words of her 20 year old self held new meaning and became too important not to share. “It’s crazy how some songs can have that kind of power over you and really contain such a life of their own,” Teischa recalls.

Teischa recently found a refreshed ownership over her music, production and songwriting - which resulted in both the release of her mixtape momentary and her new single ‘be alone’. Teischa feels authentically in touch with her direction and next steps. Her storytelling is honest, raw and relatable. ‘be alone’ is the first single to be taken from a greater body of work.
