"STUMPS have been kicking massive goals." — THE MUSIC
New South Wales STUMPS deliver new single ‘Mouth Static’ and announce east-coast headline tour. One of Cooking Vinyl Australia's newest signings, the single follows their 2019 release, ‘Laugh About It’ and sees them touch on a more electronic-based production, while maintaining their Indie-Rock and Brit-Pop traditions.
Of the track, vocalist Kyle Fisher says, “'Mouth Static' is the plea against love expressed through physical contribution, or the concept that material gifts can band-aid problems in relationships, typically deteriorating ones. For us, there is no better hackneyed metaphor to use for this sentiment other than laying out the rose petals.”
Since their inception, STUMPS have lapped the country numerous times, cementing their live presence touring alongside the likes of Trophy Eyes, Dear Seattle, Maddy Jane and CLEWS. As well as festival performances at The Drop and Lost Paradise.
STUMPS take their enthralling live performance to Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane throughout June.
