SARAH WOLFE TEAMS UP WITH THE FLOWERS ON ‘100 TIMES’

Indie-pop stunner Sarah Wolfe is continuing her ascendance in Sydney’s music scene, this time teaming up with triple j newcomers The Flowers for a gorgeous duet titled “100 Times”. Produced by Sarah’s partner Xavier Dunn and written alongside her long-time best friend Aggy (frontwoman of The Flowers), the track is a genuinely heartfelt collaboration, and a nostalgically poppy melodic masterpiece.

Sydney-based indie-pop band The Flowers have been going from strength to strength, scoring triple j rotation and praise from Richard Kingsmill for their debut single “Truly Madly Sleepy”, as well as j-play for follow up singles “Origami” and “Summer Saviour”. The band have also opened up for Jess Day, landed themselves in the top 50 most played artists on triple j Unearthed, and surpassed 150,000 streams on Spotify - all in just over a year!

Aggy and I have been friends since we were 14, and music has bonded us throughout our entire friendship!” said Sarah Wolfe“A few months ago we decided to have a crack at writing a collab, so we got in the room with Xavier Dunn (who produced it) and smashed out “100 Times” in a few hours! Last year we went on a best friends trip to New York, so this song is our ode to nostalgia and our love letter to that amazing city. I’m holding out for the day we can eventually move there."

“Was honestly pinching myself when Sarah Wolfe asked us to jump on a track with her,” said Aggy of The Flowers“Not only is she my bestie, but she is also one of the most exciting Aussie artists working right now, so collaborating with her was a dream! I reckon something was in the air during our writing session, the song came together so naturally and quickly.”

The music video for “100 Times” is a homemade special, edited like an all-too-familiar video call, interspersed with IRL shots from Aggy and Sarah’s New York adventures. The video is set to be premiered by Music Feeds on Tuesday 9th June.

After three years of cutting her teeth in music journalism behind the scenes, Sarah Wolfe’s probing and sensual pop is ready to take the world by storm. “100 Times” is Sarah Wolfe’s fourth official single, following up solo efforts “Devil U Know” and “U Think This Is A Game?”, as well as “I Think We’re Alone Now”, a collaborative cover with her partner Xavier Dunn, which was hand picked by US star Normani for her workout playlist on SpotifySarah has also impressed triple j Unearthed presenters and listeners alike with her and Xavier’s ‘#DIYSupergroup’ Unearthed Competition entry “uso horny, iso lonely”, which has already been spun on triple j.

Each release has brought Wolfe further to the forefront of Australia’s pop scene, garnering praise from triple jTone DeafPileRatsWomen In Pop, as well as music video additions to MTV. The multi-talented singer songwriter is making promising strides towards stardom.

Praise for Sarah Wolfe

“Sydney-born 22-year-old Sarah Wolfe is a musician among this collection of 2019 pop forces we're keeping an eye on entering the year ahead, marking her place in the local pop canon… [Devil U Know] is too good of a song to say that  Sarah Wolfe isn't going to be carrying Australian pop's rising scene on her shoulders in the year ahead.” – PileRats
