DAYS LIKE THESE RELEASE 'WIDE AWAKE' EP

Brisbane's Days Like These have released three epic singles in the lead up to the 'Wide Awake' EP, "Gravity", "High & Glow" and "Honey", each showcasing the bands new unstoppable sound. Today brings the release of the highly anticipated 'Wide Awake' EP, also revealing a brand new video for "Disassociate" and new support shows with Polaris.

Produced by Chris Lalic (Windwaker), 'Wide Awake' represents uncharted waters for the band, introducing pop songs with heavy guitars, rave inspired tracks, huge chorus' and tasteful riffs throughout, offering a diverse plethora of styles and sounds. "The name 'Wide Awake' summarised the EP with the idea that we are now wide awake to who we are as people, but more importantly as a band. We now know who we are, what we’re doing and what our vision is for the future" says vocalist Callen Batson

"Gravity" became the first single to drop from forthcoming 'Wide Awake' EP followed by the eclectic "High & Glow". "Gravity" made its debut at HEAVY Mag and was the first single to release from 'Wide Awake'. Both "Gravity" and "High & Glow" made Music Feeds 'Favourite Tunes of The Week' on release day and both had their triple j debut on Short. Fast. Loud.

"Gravity" featured in Alternative Press Magazine's 'Top 40 Artists You Need To Hear In April' who highlighted the polished new sound: "With electronic elements scattered throughout, the song introduces their listeners to a redefined sound. Using catchy guitar hooks, the group take a more melodic approach compared to previous releases" and made its television debut on Channel 7 Friday Night AFL. "Honey" was the third to be unveiled from 'Wide Awake' and was immediately added to mega Spotify playlists, New Music Friday AU + NZ, Rock Out., All New Rock and Local Noise.

Days Like These joined Belle Haven's 'Nobody Likes A Hospital' tour to play the sold out Brisbane leg at Black Bear Lodge in March alongside Adelaide infectious rock outfit, Alt.. Following on from the success of their first show back, Days Like These released tickets to their own headlining EP launch show at Brisbane's The Brightside on May 27 supported by Inertia, Deadnerve and Nervous Light - which sold out shortly after announcing! The band added another couple of sold out shows to the list this week when they announced that they will be playing support for Polaris and Deadlights on both the Sunshine Coast and Gold Coast leg of the Vagabond Tour.
