Known for her thought-provoking and soothing folk/ indie/ pop sounds, Adelaide's Naomi Keyte has been captivating hearts for almost a decade and is now releasing her new single 'Travelling Woman' (out now via Bandcamp | out everywhere May 15).

'Travelling Woman' is the first single since her debut album release, 'Melaleuca' (2017), that saw Keyte nominated for Best FolkBest Female Artist and Best Release at the 2017 South Australian Music Awards.

In that time Keyte has also supported the likes of Paul Kelly, Aldous Harding, Ainslie WillsLuluc and many more as well as performing at festivals including WOMADelaideOzAsia Festival and Latitude (UK).

The previous singles, 'Undertow' and 'Company', saw support from Triple JDouble JTone DeaftheMusicAU Review and Australian community radio, where she landed in the AMRAP Regional Charts.

Now, Keyte's tranquil new single 'Travelling Woman' showcases a restrained, timeless sound on the guitar accompanied by her poised, earthy vocal tones that explore a lyrically rich folk narrative. The track gently whisks away as the band is revealed with their calming sounds, while the soaring backing vocals by Katie Pomery compliment Keyte's captivating storytelling.

'Travelling Woman' was fittingly written while Keyte was touring in Tasmania while she contemplated a breakup. Keyte explains the meaning of the track:

"'The song tells the story of loving someone perpetually on the move. It speaks to the push/pull of a relationship in transition, of lingering hope and of reckoning with the unknown."

This breathtaking new single is available now via Bandcamp and will be officially released on all other platforms on Friday, 15th of May.

Furthermore, Keyte will be performing an intimate virtual single launch via Sunny Side Uploads on Sunday, May 17th at 7.30pm AEST.
