THE MUSIC & BOOZE CO. ANNOUNCES DEBUT LINEUP COUNTRY AND INNER WESTERN

Inviting country music lovers from Sydney, NSW and beyond, The Music & Booze Co. today announce Country and Inner Western; a three-day festival featuring Kasey Chambers, Tex Perkins plays Johnny Cash, All Our Exes Live In Texas and more taking over Sydney’s Inner West bars, pubs and parks.

This June Long Weekend and as part of the Sydney Solstice, experience a country music festival like never before, as some of Australia’s best emerging and established artists in alt-country, bluegrass folk and blues light up the famed entertainment precincts of Newtown, Enmore and Erskineville in a series of free and ticketed events. From the founders of King Street Crawl, The Music & Booze Co. ensure whether you choose a seat in the open-air grassy surrounds of Sydney Park Amphitheatre, the familiar sticky floor of The Enmore Hotel or cosy fairylit booths of The Midnight Special, a unique live music experience at Country and Inner Western awaits.

Headlining the Sydney Park Amphitheatre on Saturday is ARIA-Hall of Fame artist, Kasey Chambers, seeing her multi-award-winning catalogue played in a festival-first setting. The pioneering Australian country artist with five #1 albums to her name is joined by fellow icon and all-round legend, Tex Perkins. Perkins will headline Sunday with a set exclusively of material from country music king, Johnny Cash in what is set to be an unmissable performance.

Also appearing from Sydney Park on Saturday is Jindabyne-bred artist, Brad Cox whose relentless touring has coined a devoted following, alongside charismatic Aussie alt-country act, Wagons. Andy Golledge Band and their unpredictably wild live sets are accompanied by alt-bluegrass outfit The Morrisons, as well as the raw and memorable singer-songwriting talents of Harmony Byrne to complete Saturday’s lineup.

Joining Tex Perkins from Sydney Park on Sunday is local four-piece, All Our Exes Live In Texas with their charmingly unique folk harmonies. Led by acclaimed Indigenous vocalist, Emma Donovan & The Putbacks bring their inimitable world-class soul to the stage, joined by four-piece Caitlin Harnett & The Pony Boys, ex-Gooch Palms alt-Western crooner Leroy Macqueen, local bubbling act, Babitha and soul-folk songwriter, Lady Lyon.

Some of the Inner West’s most iconic venues, long known for making live music memories will host free performances all weekend. Watch this space with a list of artists to be announced to perform from venues like Newtown’s Waywards, The Union, Kelly’s On King, Sydney Park Hotel.
