CHASE ZERA IS UNAPOLOGETICALLY HONEST IN HER LATEST DANCEFLOOR ANTHEM “OVER HERE”

RELEASED ALONGSIDE HYPNOTIC NEW VISUALISER SUPPORTING KLP THIS NOVEMBER 15TH AT SYDNEY’S WATSONS BAY BOUTIQUE HOTEL AS PART OF THE GREAT SOUTHERN NIGHTS INITIATIVE

Rising Sydney based dance-pop artist Chase Zera today shares her latest single “Over Here”, listen HERE. Brimming with effortless production, dancefloor ready beats and unapologetically honest lyrics, the single comes alongside a hypnotic visualiser shot by Yeahsure. Watch it HERE.

Following on from her arresting debut single on Warner Music Australia, Bring Me Down”, and the sultry “Saving Bugs”, she notes that “‘Over Here’ is about that exact moment you realise you’re going to be fine after going through heartbreak. I wanted to make a song that floated along unapologetically, because that’s what I felt like I was doing the moment that painful weight was taken off my shoulders.

For a while after, you wake up every morning feeling sick to the stomach. Then one day, out of nowhere, you wake up and everything is that bit easier and less painful and you’re like, ‘actually, you know what, I’m alright. I don’t want to go back to them and I don’t want them to come back to me, I’m happy over here.”

This month, Chase is due to play a DJ support set with KLP on 15th November from 3pm – 5pm at Sydney Watson’s Bay Boutique Hotel as part of the Great Southern Nights COVID-safe performance initiative and Australian Music Month. For more information and reservations, click HERE.

ABOUT CHASE ZERA:

Always a creative, Chase Zera was an accomplished performer as a child, taking dancing and singing lessons as a teenager before moving onto piano, studying composition and audio engineering at the Australian Institute of Music and attending Ableton Live School for intensive lessons in music production. Equipped with the knowledge and the tools, Chase started writing in a wide array of genres, soon to discover that it was a combination of pop and electronic music that she’d envisioned for her project and high-energy performances.

“Growing up as a dancer and being immersed in performing arts, I decided I wanted to be a performer before I figured out I wanted to perform as a musician” Chase says.

Chase launched her project last year with three striking singles Clovers”“Mess and Said I Would” - all receiving triple j airplay, glowing press attention, over half a million combined streams and providing the soundtrack to last year's live shows which included festival performances at Curve Ball, Wine Machine, NYE In The Park and support tours for the likes of Bag Raiders and Hayden James
