SUMMER THIEVES SIGN WITH SELECT MUSIC & JOIN SOLD OUT L.A.B AUSTRALIAN 2021 TOUR
Indie-pop inspired Summer Thieves are known for getting the party started! They have gone from playing Dunedin house parties to some of NZ’s biggest stages and are fast becoming one of Aotearoa’s bands to watch. This October, they bring those vibes to Australia after being welcomed into the Select Music family and joining the sold-out L.A.B Australian tour.
“Summer Thieves are growing at a rate of knots, and the Select Music team are pumped to be representing them here in Australia for live bookings. We've been working with the Loop team on L.A.B since 2019, and to have those powerful and talented people behind the project makes it an extra level of excitement,” says Select’s Jimmy Kleiner.
Summer Thieves expanding catalogue has seen their following rapidly grow at home over the past few years. 2020 saw the band return with an extended five-piece lineup and the release of their anticipated follow-up EP, Bandaids & Lipsticks. The EP saw them expanding their indie sound, incorporating more of a polished-pop feel while embracing their party-starting roots.
Not wasting any time, the band immediately returned to the studio to begin work on a new full-length album due late 2021 via LOOP, with the first single ‘Potions’ kicking things off.
