Hailing from the regional town of Maitland, New South Wales, respected Ghanaian-Australian singer, songwriters and producer sibling duo Kinder (aka Savannah and Briony Osei) invite you to “Come Along” on their new dance project. Stream and download their new single “Come Along” (feat. A.GIRL)  via Warner Music Australia HERE.

“Come Along” is a thrilling, future festival anthem, vivid in its evocation of a trip Briony and Savannah took to Ghana as children. Lit with the intoxicating glow of nostalgia, “Come Along” comes alive with detail - kids spinning bottles, a kindly shopkeeper, the feeling of feet on bare concrete. Featuring the traditional Ghanaian instrument, the Gyill, it’s a song that seamlessly and beautifully weaves strands of culture together. Club music is rarely so human, so alive — and yet Kinder make it so.

"We are really excited to share this part of our story with everyone. This song is very special to us as we explore things we never have before” Kinder note. "We can't wait to be able to play this live and dance with everyone again."

Kinder’s story is one of beautiful contradictions. Growing up in Maitland, Savannah and Briony were immersed in music from a young age. Their mother was fond of rhythmic, classic rock — Bowie, The Cure, Fleetwood Mac — while their father introduced them to stars like Lucky Dube and Michael & Janet Jackson. This early musical education gave the sisters an introduction to rhythm and craft, rich beat work and electrifying charisma. While Savannah took an interest in playing piano from an early age, Briony was drawn to dancing, and the body-moving potential of powerful beats. Even then, a perfect symbiosis was emerging: one sister engaging in melody, the other in rhythm, together learning how to conjure the heart and soul of a perfect pop song.

As teenagers, Savannah and Briony slowly began to immerse themselves in club culture, finding their way to Sydney on occasion to DJ at the city’s hallowed clubs. Those hole-in-the-wall slots quickly became headline slots, which became festival and stadium slots, opening for genuine stars of the form like Marshmallo and RL Grime, and performing on national festival circuits. Career highlights came quickly: their first national festival tour, the 2017 Groovin’ the Moo tour, allowed them to play for huge crowds, including a hometown show, while a triple j Friday Mix gave the sisters a chance to show off their skills mixing and selecting. The heart of all Briony and Savannah’s endeavours, even from their earliest shows, has always remained the same: Kinder want to bring people joy — to make them dance and smile and forget their troubles, even if only for a minute.

Primed to become two of the country’s most celebrated homegrown stars, Kinder are here to share the depth of their Ghanaian heritage with the world, their music – a result of two lives’ worth of soul-searching and self-possession, a testament to Savannah and Briony’s distinct vision.
