Having built a name synonymous with popular charity music events that have seen the podcast grow into a successful brand, What We Did On The Weekend is joining forces with Pulse the Zine for their 6th annual fundraiser, Nightmare Fest, at Stay Gold Melbourne this November. Tickets on sale now!

The mini fest will take place on Saturday November 16 and will raise funds for Refuge Victoria, who provide refuse and crisis accommodation to women and children. Nightmare Fest welcomes a stacked all female lineup - headlining the show will be Melbourne hardcore legends Outright, who will also be celebrating 10 years of their debut album 'Avalanche'. Outright have cultivated a dedicated following for their political, high energy, pull-no-punches hardcore and have become a beacon in the Australian HC scene.

Supporting Outright is hardcore group Gravitate, straight edge outfit Stressed, doom metallers Isua, beatdown metalcore band Identity Error, chaotic metalcore group Slowburn, high-speed hardcore act Goethe and metallic hardcore outfit Takoba. There will also be market stalls from a handful of local creators and record labels and a huge raffle with thousands of dollars of prizes to be won.

Previous fundraisers have welcomed guests from across the nation, including Clay J Gladstone, Reliqa, Tapestry, Saviour, Bloom, Deadlights, Bad/Love, Dregg and more.

What We Did On The Weekend collaborate with Pulse the Zine for the upcoming mini fest. Pulse celebrates non-males in the Australian heavy music community and is spearheaded by Melbourne-based creative Allison Watters. The DIY independent 'zine strives to keep the conversation alive and has featured conversations with musicians Alex Reade of Make Them SufferAmy McIntosh and Lizi Blanco of Vilify/The Beautiful MonumentEmma Boster of Dying Wish and Nikki Brumen of Blood Command among so many more.
