BAN MICAH RETURNS WITH SULTRY NEW SINGLE 'ANIME EYES'
Ban Micah returns with a wavy new hit of music, this time in ‘Anime Eyes’. Two and a half minutes of seductive beats and hypnotic vocals, the track is Ban Micah at his most comfortable: flexing on the mic and coupling it all with some heated production.
Written during the midst of #pandemiclockdownlife last year, ‘Anime Eyes’ is a track that is well aware of what it wants - it’s all about that physical first connection. The song serves as a fun way to break out of the boredom we all remember going through in 2020; it’s a track primed for the club, when we can all get sweaty again.
Recorded in Auckland, Ban remembers the type of vibe he was on when ‘Anime Eyes’ first came together.
“Going into the making of this track, it was at the height of the COVID-19 lockdown, and I was nine anime series deep, missing human interactions, international travel and live music. I felt inspired to make an absolute BOP! While the story behind this track isn’t as deep as others I’ve made; I can honestly say that this track personifies my mind state during the pandemic.”

Following on from the release of ‘I Can’t Even’ back in November, ‘Anime Eyes’ is a dope reminder of the type of versatility Ban Micah has as a producer and as a songwriter. Moving between glossy to gritty beats, while his vocals continue to be executed on the track with finesse, Ban has proven himself early as one to watch.
