Eliza & The Delusionals are kicking off 2020 with a huge 28-date USA tour and new single ‘Swimming Pool’. The single follows their international hit, named Alt Nation’s Critical Cut, ‘Just Exist’ and recent single ‘Pull Apart Heart’. The band announce today that their forthcoming second EP, A STATE OF LIVING IN AN OBJECTIVE REALITY, is set to be released on Friday 20 March via Cooking Vinyl Australia.
Of the track Eliza Klatt says “'Swimming Pool' is about diving back into bad decisions and feeling stuck in something you can’t get out of. I wrote the lyrics when I could feel myself growing out of my relationship but I didn’t know how to handle it, so I would just stay where I was and keep repeating the same things that weren’t helping me."
The first taste of the groups’ forthcoming EP, ‘Just Exist’ connected in a big way, particularly in the US and Canada, with Alt Nation/SiriusXM adding the song to high rotation. The band’s Spotify listenership jumped 400+% in America, while “Just Exist” has exceeded 1.3 Million streams and was named Amazons Music 'Song of the Week' in the States.
The new EP culminates the band’s growth over the last 24-months, kickstarted in earnest by their 2017 debut EP The Deeper End. The group’s sweetly snarling, anthemic brand of indie rock has led to supports with artists such as Grinspoon, Nothing But Thieves, Dear Seattle and Killing Heidi, appearances at landmark festivals such as BIGSOUND, Falls Festival and Canadian Music Week. As well as upcoming performances at SXSW, BottleRock and FireFly.
Having signed with renowned US agency APA for North America and with a 28-date US run ahead, the doors are well and truly starting to open for Eliza & The Delusionals internationally. To round out the line-up, the band introduced new bassist Ruby Lee, who will be joining them in the US this month.
