HOPE D GETS MORE CONFESSIONAL THAN EVER BEFORE WITH NEW SINGLE, VIDEO FOR ‘MISCOMMUNICATE’

After selling out 5x hometown shows just last month, Brisbane’s Hope D is rounding out a bizarre and impressive year with an emotion-filled new track "Miscommunicate".

Steering slightly away from the high-voltage energy of previous tracks "Second" and "Common Denominator", the new single taps into some heartfelt and honest emotions as Hope lays out all things she wishes she had said before it was too late.

Recorded in isolation with Julia Biers on the bass, Jenna Goy on the drums, and Hugh Middleton in the production chair, the track is a heartfelt song about a relationship that is on its way down:

(Hope D) "I wrote ‘miscommunicate’ to try and get attention from my partner at the time. I am not very good with my words when I have to talk, but singing them in this song was my way to communicating how I truly felt at this time in my life. I was purposely miscommunicating in order to get a reaction, and to jeopardize the relationship to deliberately make it bad before I had to talk out my feelings about it."

After breaking onto the scene in late 2019 with her debut single "Swim", alt-pop-rock artist Hope D captivated audiences with her eclectic capability to create purposeful, confessional and captivating music.

This release led her to taking home the inaugural QMusic Emerging Artist Award, performances at BIGSOUND 2019, Splendour In The GrassLaneway Festival and King Street Crawl, as well as sold-out headline shows in her hometown Brisbane. 2020 saw her second release aptly named "Second", and follow up "Common Denominator" once again wowing and surprising fans by her change in sound, but maintaining the same inviting charm and razor-sharp wit through her authentically honest, raw and relatable songs.

Despite COVID-19 causing endless rescheduled tours and shows, in September and October Hope D sold out 5x consecutive headline shows in her hometown of Brisbane before rounding out what was a bizarre and impressive year with latest single "Miscommunicate". "Miscommunicate" is out now on all digital streaming services via GYROstream.
