Released as the second of three EP’s that make up Wright Smith’s Psychotropical trilogy, Volcano God Head Explodes is songwriting from the heart. With the release of ‘Tomorrow Never Comes’ in March, Wright Smith broke open this new chapter with confidence.
Vocals soar and colourful narratives come to life (‘The Wire’, ‘Sleeping’s For Dreamers’) - the flurry of ideas swirling around Wright Smith’s creative brain become focused and presented with precision. Recorded in Melbourne’s Sound Park and The Aviary with David Turner (Amy Shark, Dan Sultan), Wright Smith channeled the energy of this incensed period of songwriting into some great recording sessions.
