Today, Sydney-based dream pop artist Abby Bella May shares her latest single 'Bindii Patch'. Produced and co-written by Taka Perry, Abby's sugary vocals shine on this boppy and relatable track. Alongside the release comes the announcement of her debut EP, I Am Sensitive, out April 30th, which coincides with her upcoming headline show at the Oxford Art Factory on April 30th.

On the single, Abby details; 'Bindii patch is about the struggle of adjusting to the single life routine after a break up, it’s all about the stages you go through, including going back and fourth from blaming yourself for the break up and to then blaming them. Bindi patch is a metaphor, I thought of it like no matter how much you know the grass might have bindis that will hurt you, you can’t be bothered to put your shoes on, so you dive into another relationship knowing you might get hurt again, or you go back to that same person knowing that it’s probably going to hurt again.'

The singles comes alongside a vibrant and playful official video directed by
Charles Buxton-Leslie and Summer King.

Sydney-based dream-pop princess Abby Bella May combines floating vocals and lush production to form a unique, low-fi sound that is all her own. Inspired by artists like Clairo, Maggie Rogers, and Benee, Abby’s music is an intimate snapshot of youth, reflecting her life and the lives of those she is closest to. A confessional lyricist, May's songs embody relatability and authenticity, offering a window into the highs and lows of modern relationships: desiring friendship with no strings attached, rediscovering independence in love, and not giving any time to sexist and immature personalities she crosses paths with. Equal parts honest, endearing, and catchy, Abby's music speaks to both the mundane and the otherworldly, combining to create a fiercely personal body of work.

The release of Abby’s last two singles, 'Drive-In Movie', and 'Wish We Could Be Friends' earned placement on Spotify’s New Music Friday (AU & NZ), Indie Arrivals, Indie Pop, Chill af, Softly, and RADAR playlists, alongside airplay on The Zane Lowe Show, triple j’s Home and Hosed, and FBI’s Local Fidelity and The Bridge. Abby has locked in a strong of support slots, including her recent show with Merci, Mercy last month and upcoming shows with Sycco. Abby will also be launching the EP on April 30th at the Oxford Art Factory.
