'What Is Next?' premiered via theMusic.com

"Playful and filled to the brim with charisma, I really enjoy the way Lucy rhythmically phases her melody lines and the sick way that the music whirls and spins around her in perfect harmony. I agree with Declan total Jaala vibes - so good!"
4 / 5 Stars (Nkechi Anele, Triple J)

"oooh yeah lucy this is so cool. it's free and wanders around really naturally but also doesn't lack purpose. if you like jaala then lucy will be a fun new find!"
4 / 5 Stars (Declan Byrne, Triple J)

"an incredible ability to produce multi-faceted, genre-defying tunes" (Live Wire AU)

To pair with Lucy Francesca Dron's biggest sounding indie-rock track to date, she is releasing the stunning new music video.

'What is Next?' (released Jan 22), saw Dron blend her alt/ indie rock style with her mesmerizing vocal range, flexibility and control. The crisp, resolute strumming on the overdriven guitars lead the band as she moves through cool, calm verses, tense choruses and then graciously flutters through notes in quick succession in chaotic bridge.

To parallel the meaning behind the track that explores finding meaning in life and the things we do, this music video is like a dream state, groundhog day with Lucy lost in the woods finding meaning in the things she finds. After trying to make sense of it all in this graceful yet gloomy set, her band emerge from the water and join her performing in a stormy twilight that aligns with the mood and unleashed elegance of the closing minute.

Since the release of her debut EP in 2017, Lucy Francesca Dron has supported the likes of Hope DJacob DiamondVoiidFlamingo Blonde and Asha Jefferies'What Is Next?' and previous releases have seen support from Triple J, Triple J Unearthed, theMusic, Milky Milky Milky, Scenestr, AAA Backstage, Live Wire AU, comeherefloyd, Out Now, Broaderlines and more.

This new single and music video is just a taste of what is to come from Dron and her band this year with her EP planned to drop by June. Dron performs at Black Bear Lodge in Brisbane on the 4th of March.
