REVOID RELEASE NEW SINGLE & VIDEO ‘CUT ME DOWN’ + SINGLE LAUNCH SHOW SET FOR WOOLLY MAMMOTH MANE STAGE 22ND NOVEMBER

Having released their EP Reform & Regret in January 2020, Revoid had other plans for this year, as did most other artists in the world. But the Brisbane heavy outfit knew that the chaos couldn't last - and took the time to write, record, change their line-up, prepare and develop skills and content, until they could finally take to the stage again!

Today, they announce the imminent arrival of their newest single "Cut Me Down". The single will be released into all digital stores and streaming platforms on Friday November 20, with a show on Sunday November 22 to celebrate, at Brisbane's Woolly Mammoth Mane Stage. Tickets are on sale now at MOSHTIX.

The band worked closely with Mark Williamson at Keywork Audio earlier in 2020 to Engineer/Mix/Master and bring to life what is their best song to date, and then brought the track to Colin Jeffs and Matt Evlampieff at Ten of Swords Collective in order to create the symbolic and heavy film clip.

The clip sees the band showing the dark sides of depression - isolation, substance abuse, rage - but then shows that with support, the subject of the video gathers strength and the cycle is broken. The clip ends with a quote, saying that "Some Storms are best weathered together."

Vocalist Dale Dudeson said that he "...wanted the song to really hit home on an issue that is often very hard to talk about, from a perspective that some of us figure out far too late. Depression and suicide are tough things to handle in any capacity. Whether you’re dealing with the issues yourself, or whether you’re the one that’s there for someone that is, it’s so easy to find yourself hopeless and helpless in the times where you need it the most.

He went on to say that he has always had quite a personal relationship with death, and his own mortality. "...when I play this song, everything becomes very real for me, but that’s kind of the point. I know I’ve felt the way the lyrics describe more often than I’d like, and I know that many other people out there have too. I wrote this song for my own expression, but also for the those who will hear it to scream their lungs out to during a rough time, as I have so often done before, and to let people know that in spite of how things may feel or seem, you are loved."

The band wants this song to help inspire those who may be in a bad place mentally to speak up about it, especially after the events of 2020 - where everyone has been isolated and maybe not so comfortable talking due to the lack of social interactions.

Revoid are: Dale Dudeson – Vocals, Jack Carey – Guitar/Vocals, Josh ‘Krusty’ Gudgeon – Guitar and Nick Watson - Drums.
