'IN HER EYES'– NEW SINGLE AND VIDEO FROM THE JUNGLE GIANTS

Fresh off the back of an ARIA Song of the Year nomination for platinum-selling song ‘Heavy Hearted’, today The Jungle Giants serve up new single ‘In Her Eyes’.

Uplifting and self-assured, ‘In Her Eyes’ is the summer anthem we need after the rollercoaster that has been 2020. Punctuated by off-centre, 90’s inspired beats and a bass line that’ll make you strut, ‘In Her Eyes’ is right on track to be summer’s smash hit.

A key track from their upcoming album, the band’s writer, producer and lead singer, Sam Hales, had this to say, “It feels so good to finally get “In Her Eyes” out. Both the lyrics and production are really close to my heart. This track delves a little more into some of the themes explored on the upcoming record. It’s a song not only about being in love with someone, but also going deeper into self love. Sometimes you gotta back your own horse.”

As for the music video, ‘In Her Eyes’ is the bands’ most ambitious video to date. Reuniting with regular collaborator Melbourne-based film director Julian Lucas, the video expands on the self-love theme of the song, with a hilarious take on the age-old dilemma of self-obsession.

On the video’s concept, Julian says, “The music video is about a man’s narcissistic obsession with his own reflection. This manifests into a beautiful love story where he falls head over heels in love…with himself.”

The Jungle Giants kicked off 2020 on a world tour, covering the United States, Mexico, Japan, UK, Netherlands and France. In fortunate timing, their tour ended in mid-March just before the COVID-19 pandemic swept across the world. With subsequent touring cancelled, Sam bunkered down in the band’s production room in Melbourne and has spent the remaining year writing and recording The Jungle Giants’ upcoming fourth album due in 2021.

Released earlier this year, previous single ‘Sending Me Ur Loving’ is already nudging ARIA Gold status in Australia, and is well underway to being added to the pantheon of hits the band has produced over the last decade. With well over 300 million combined streams worldwide and a rapidly growing international fan base, The Jungle Giants have cemented themselves as one of the biggest independent acts in Australia.
